Dear CAF Colonels After
a long but very successful AIRSHO the CAF HQ Staff immediately launched
into the massive task of mailing the Absentee Ballots out. Each
Nominee was asked to submit his or her biography for the mailing. I
removed myself from the process completely and turned it over to Keith
Lawrence, VP of Operations, who has handled this task for over 15 years.
Keith had trouble locating one member's biography (Col Chuck Beasley)
so he went to a Web site and took what he felt was pertinent
information. On another nominee's biography (Col Ken Fields) he edited
out a political statement. Keith's rationale is explained in his own

CAF Airpower Museum Announces New Director
MIDLAND , TEXAS (Oct. 5, 2010). –The Commemorative Air Force
(CAF) and CAF Airpower Museum are proud to announce today that Jeff
Wood has accepted the position of Museum Director of the CAF Airpower
Museum . Wood has held the Interim Museum Director position since March
of 2010.
Wood has been a member of the CAF Museum staff for 10 years and previously held the position of Interpretive Director.
"Jeff
has done an outstanding job for the CAF Airpower Museum , creating,
designing and overseeing the installation of many of the displays that
impart such an emotional experience to our visitors," said CAF President
and CEO Stephan Brown. "Since Jeff stepped into the position on an
Interim basis he has made substantive changes to the staff, the displays
